The PBS Impact Foundation has announced the successful conclusion of its 2026 Day of Impact campaign, raising a record-breaking $56,590 from 456 donors—the largest single-day fundraising effort in the Foundation's history.

Held on June 25, the annual Day of Impact unites Brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., corporate partners, alumni, friends, and supporters around a shared mission of investing in educational opportunity, youth development, and stronger communities.

This year's campaign not only surpassed previous fundraising records but also demonstrated the growing commitment of supporters to the Foundation's mission of changing lives through philanthropy.

"Our Day of Impact is about more than reaching a fundraising goal - it's about bringing people together to create opportunities that will have a lasting impact," said Justin Gibson, Chairman of the PBS Impact Foundation. "The incredible generosity of our donors is a testament to what can be accomplished when people believe in a shared vision for education, leadership, and community service. We are deeply grateful to every person who made a gift, shared our campaign, or encouraged others to support this effort."

Donors had the opportunity to direct their gifts toward the initiatives that mattered most to them. As a result, the campaign generated support across several key funding priorities:

  • $17,376 designated for scholarships, helping students pursue higher education and reduce financial barriers to success.

  • $15,099 invested in Regional Impact Funds, empowering Phi Beta Sigma regions to address local needs through community service, educational initiatives, and philanthropic programming.

  • $11,371 designated to support Phi Beta Sigma's three national programs that advance the Foundation's mission and expand its reach nationwide.

  • $4,154 dedicated to Sigma Beta Clubs, strengthening mentorship, leadership development, and educational opportunities for young men.

The remaining gifts provided flexible support for the Foundation's ongoing mission, ensuring it can continue responding to emerging needs and expanding its impact throughout the year.

The campaign also reflected broad participation from supporters across the country, with hundreds of donors contributing to make this the Foundation's most successful giving day to date. The record-setting number of donors underscores the growing momentum behind the PBS Impact Foundation and its commitment to creating lasting change through strategic philanthropy.

The success of the Day of Impact builds upon the Foundation's continued growth and reinforces its role as the philanthropic partner of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Through scholarships, youth leadership programs, educational initiatives, chapter charitable funds, and community investments, the Foundation continues to provide meaningful opportunities that improve lives and strengthen communities.

"The Day of Impact may have ended, but the impact of these gifts is only beginning," Gibson added. "Every scholarship awarded, every young person mentored, and every community served will be a direct reflection of the generosity shown by our donors. Together, we are building a legacy that will benefit generations to come."

THANK YOU

2026 Day of Impact

Day of Impact

One day. One mission. Unlimited possibilities.

The PBS Impact Foundation's Day of Impact is a 24-hour fundraising campaign dedicated to transforming lives through educational access, youth development, scholarships, and community empowerment. Our goal is ambitious: raise $100,000 in a single day to support programs that create meaningful opportunities for individuals, families, and communities across the nation.

Every gift, regardless of size, helps us invest in the next generation of leaders, support families in need, and strengthen the communities we serve. Together, we can create lasting change.

Why Give?

The need has never been greater. Students face rising educational costs. Youth development programs require sustainable funding. Communities continue to seek resources that help individuals reach their full potential.

The PBS Impact Foundation exists to bridge those gaps. Through scholarships, mentoring programs, educational initiatives, grants, and community partnerships, we are committed to creating pathways to success for those who need them most.

Your support on the Day of Impact helps ensure that deserving students can pursue higher education, young people can access life-changing programs, and communities can benefit from resources that improve lives for years to come.
