
We are thrilled to announce Stephen McDaniel's appointment to the PBS Impact Foundation's Board of Directors. Stephen brings a wealth of experience, expertise, and a deep commitment to public service and community engagement, making him an invaluable addition to our organization. He will also serve as the chair of the Development Committee.
As a member of the Board of Directors, Stephen will be crucial in guiding our mission to foster educational, informative, and inspiring content that reaches and enriches diverse audiences. Under his leadership, the PBS Impact Foundation will assist individuals and chapters in developing philanthropic funds with the foundation and securing and administering grants.
Mr. McDaniel has an impressive track record in non-profit fundraising, having held key positions at North Carolina A&T, Tuskegee University, University of Maryland at College Park, and the United Negro College Fund, to name a few. His leadership and strategic vision have consistently driven success and innovation, and we are confident that his contributions will significantly enhance the Foundation's efforts to support and expand PBS's impact.
Brother McDaniel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland
Baltimore County and a certificate in managing institutional advancement from the
University of Chicago. He is a former member of the Council for the Advancement and
Support of Education (CASE), National Commission on Philanthropy, and a former member of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) Advisory Council for
Communications and Public Affairs.
Stephen McDaniel was initiated into Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. through the Delta Mu
Chapter (Bowie State College) on October 28, 1970.

Founded in 2021, the PBS Impact Foundation was created to serve as the philanthropic partner of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. The foundation is a nonprofit, nonstock corporation organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code for charitable, educational, cultural, and service purposes directed towards the improvement of living, working, housing, health, and educational conditions of all persons, historically marginalized and underserved communities. The foundation shall promote social welfare through the reduction of human distress and hardship and the creation of opportunities for advancement through learning, scholarship, service, and human understanding.
