PBS Impact Foundation and Phi Beta Sigma Visits Macy's Headquarters, Renews Partnership

Leaders from the PBS Impact Foundation and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. visited Macy’s Inc. headquarters in New York City on Tuesday, April 28, to meet with company leadership and discuss the continued impact of the corporation’s philanthropic investment in youth development initiatives across the country.

The meeting served as an opportunity to share how Macy’s support has helped advance programs focused on the personal, academic, and professional development of young people. Through the partnership, the PBS Impact Foundation has expanded initiatives that empower students, strengthen communities, and create meaningful opportunities for youth engagement and leadership development.

Representatives from Macy’s also provided an update on upcoming apparel items for the highly anticipated Divine Nine collection, which celebrates the culture, heritage, and legacy of historically Black Greek-letter organizations. The collaboration continues to reflect Macy’s commitment to diversity, community engagement, and cultural representation. The global retail giant also presented the foundation with a check for $50,000 to renew their dedication to our mission.
Attending the meeting on behalf of the PBS Impact Foundation and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. were Justin Gibson, Chairman of the PBS Impact Foundation; Hon. David A. Turner, International President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.; Dr. Phillip "Flapp" Cockrell, International Executive Director of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and; Steven Ballard, Deputy Executive Director of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
“This partnership continues to demonstrate what is possible when corporate leaders invest intentionally in communities and young people,” said Gibson. “We are grateful for Macy’s continued support and their belief in the mission and vision of the PBS Impact Foundation.”

The PBS Impact Foundation and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. expressed appreciation for Macy’s continued partnership and shared commitment to creating lasting impact in communities nationwide. President Turner presented their team with the Outstanding Partnership in Community Investments Award. To date, Macy's has invested $200,000 with the PBS Impact Foundation to support the personal and professional development of young people.
