The PBS Impact Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce its membership in ABFE: A Philanthropic Partnership for Black Communities, becoming part of a national network of more than 2,000 organizations and philanthropic professionals committed to advancing effective, responsive, and transformative philanthropy in Black communities. Through its membership, the Foundation will have access to professional development, member-only convenings, networking opportunities, leadership development programs, research resources, and a national community dedicated to strengthening Black philanthropy.

Founded in 1971, ABFE is the first and oldest philanthropic affinity organization focused on advancing investments in Black communities. The organization partners with foundations, nonprofits, and philanthropic leaders to promote equitable grantmaking, leadership development, and strategic investments that improve outcomes for Black communities.
For the PBS Impact Foundation, this partnership represents an important investment in the organization's continued growth and its commitment to advancing the philanthropic mission of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
"Joining ABFE is an exciting milestone for our Foundation," said Justin Gibson, Chairman of the PBS Impact Foundation. "As the official philanthropic partner of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., we believe it is essential that we continue learning from and collaborating with some of the nation's leading voices in Black philanthropy. ABFE's commitment to strengthening Black communities aligns perfectly with our mission of creating educational opportunities, investing in youth leadership, and building stronger communities."
Membership in ABFE will provide the Foundation with opportunities to collaborate with peer organizations, participate in national conversations about philanthropy, access research and best practices, and strengthen its organizational capacity. The Foundation also looks forward to participating in ABFE's signature events, leadership development opportunities, and member networks that encourage collaboration and innovation throughout the philanthropic sector. ABFE members have access to networking groups, leadership development opportunities, knowledge resources, and professional learning designed to strengthen grantmaking and philanthropic leadership.
The partnership also creates opportunities for the PBS Impact Foundation to contribute its own perspective and experience. As a growing national foundation serving Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., the Foundation brings a unique model that combines fraternity-based service with strategic philanthropy, including scholarships, Chapter Charitable Funds, Regional Impact Funds, youth development initiatives, and community partnerships.
"We are excited not only to learn from ABFE's members but also to share our experiences in building a national philanthropic organization that empowers chapters, develops future leaders, and expands opportunities through charitable giving," Gibson added. "Strong partnerships are essential to creating lasting change, and we look forward to contributing to ABFE's collective work."
The PBS Impact Foundation believes this membership will enhance its ability to identify new philanthropic partnerships, strengthen grantmaking practices, and increase its impact nationwide. As the Foundation celebrates its fifth anniversary, this partnership reinforces its commitment to working alongside organizations that share a common vision: ensuring that philanthropy is a powerful force for expanding opportunity, investing in Black communities, and creating lasting, measurable impact.
