The PBS Impact Foundation and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., has proudly partnered with Micah’s Voice to support their groundbreaking new program, Micah’s Village. The Foundation made a $10,000 donation to help launch the program, which is dedicated to supporting young adults living with autism after they turn 21 — an age when most social services abruptly end.

Micah’s Village was created in response to what’s known as the “21 Cliff,” a critical gap in services for adults on the autism spectrum. The day program will provide friendship, job training, recreational activities, and daily support for individuals and their families — offering hope where there once was uncertainty.

The announcement came in conjunction with a private benefit concert on April 29 in Beverly Hills, CA. The event featured performances by Boyz II Men and Babyface, with comedian Jo Koy serving as emcee and D-Nice as the DJ. Proceeds supported Micah’s Village and the Nosrati Family Foundation for JNA, a rare disease affecting young men.

“As Sigmas, we are called to be servants to our communities and to those whose voices are often unheard,” said Malwan Johnson, Phi Beta Sigma’s International Director of Social Action. “Micah’s Village aligns perfectly with our mission, and we are honored to stand beside Micah’s Voice in making this vision a reality.”

Founded by Sigma brother Shawn Stockman, member of the R&B group Boyz II Men, and wife Sharhonda Stockman, Micah’s Voice was inspired by their son Micah and has become a beacon of hope for families impacted by autism. The Micah’s Village initiative is their boldest and most needed endeavor yet.
