Board Member Elected President Naperville (IL) Public Library Board of Trustees

Dr. Reginald Gardner, member of the PBS Impact Foundation board of directors and chair of the Governance Committee, has been elected as President of the Naperville (IL) Public Library Board of Trustees. The library has an annual operating budget of $17 M and annual circulation of periodicals, books, magazines and videos in excess of 2 Million.

Dr. Gardner is also a member of the Naperville Chamber of Commerce (Business Works subcommittee) representing small business advocacy at the local, state and federal levels, Further, he is a member of the Illinois Prairie School District 204 Task Force which passed a $498 million referendum to fund the school district in 2024.


Dr. Gardner is a retired academic administrator. At Nashville State Community College, he served as Dean of Computer & Engineering Technology as well as Executive Director of Workforce & Community Economic Development. Prior to that role, he worked for over 30 years as a Sr. Information Technology Executive in the retail and insurance industries. He has negotiated a 10-year, $1.2 billion Service Level Agreement for a Fortune 100 company, and has led IT teams in systems applications, quality assurance, and Year 2000 (Y2K) remediation initiatives. He currently serves as President of Gardner Synergy Logistics LLC, an Amazon Delivery Service Provider generating annual revenue of $4 million with over 65 employees.


Within Phi Beta Sigma, Dr. Gardner serves as Great Lakes Region Parliamentarian, NPHC Central Suburb Chicago Council Parliamentarian, PBS Leadership Academy Faculty (Conclave Myrtle Beach), and Chapter President of Nu Kappa Sigma, DeKalb, IL.
