A Los Angeles native, Jackson has built a career and life centered on leadership and service. He graduated from UCLA, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics and was a member of the university’s baseball program. Following college, Jackson served his country as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. He later earned his MBA from National University in San Diego, California. Jackson went on to establish a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry while pursuing his entrepreneurial interests. Since 2004, he has owned and operated businesses in the real estate and insurance industries. His commitment to serving others is also reflected through his own foundation, which he has led as president for the past 10 years. The organization provides affordable housing for single mothers with children.

“Bro. Jackson brings a tremendous combination of business experience, leadership, and a genuine commitment to serving others,” said Justin Gibson, National Chairman of the PBS Impact Foundation. “As we continue growing the Foundation, we need board members who understand that philanthropy is ultimately about creating opportunities and improving lives. Sidney has demonstrated that commitment throughout his professional, fraternal, and community service.”

A dedicated member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Jackson was initiated in 1989 through the Nu Delta Chapter at UCLA. He has served the Fraternity in numerous leadership capacities, including as the 35th Western Regional Director.

Jackson’s appointment comes as the PBS Impact Foundation continues to strengthen its governance and build the leadership necessary to support its growing portfolio of scholarships, youth development programs, community investments, Chapter Charitable Funds, grantmaking, and philanthropic partnerships. As a member of the Board, he will help provide strategic oversight and leadership as the Foundation works to expand its resources and deepen its impact. His experience as an entrepreneur, nonprofit leader, fraternity leader, and community advocate will provide valuable perspective as the organization plans for its next chapter.

Connecting people. Inspiring hope. Making an impact.
