The PBS Impact Foundation proudly announced that it raised $18,948.44 during its inaugural Day of Impact, held on June 4, 2025. With 141 individual gifts received, supporters from across the country rallied together to make a powerful statement about the importance of collective philanthropy and the impact of grassroots giving.
Funds raised during the Day of Impact will directly support the Foundation’s key programs, including the Sigma Beta Club, which mentors and develops young men of color, and the Education Program, which provides scholarships and academic enrichment opportunities to students nationwide. The campaign was part of the Foundation’s larger "Unity of Purpose" campaign, designed to mobilize support for educational equity, youth empowerment, and community transformation by raising $20 million over the next 10 years.
“This incredible outpouring of support shows what’s possible when we unite around a shared mission,” said Justin Gibson, chairman of the PBS Impact Foundation board. “Every single gift—large or small—represents a step forward for the students, families, and communities we serve.”
The Foundation expressed deep gratitude to its donors, ambassadors, and volunteers who helped bring the Day of Impact to life, and pledged to build on this momentum for future campaigns.
